Great to meet you!

Great to meet you. My own experience with depression, and the change that followed when I began to see human experience in a new way, has deeply shaped both my life and my work. What I came to understand about Mind, Consciousness, and Thought brought more clarity, perspective, and ease to my own experience, and I value being able to share that with others. I also lead online groups because I’ve found that insight often grows in the company of others, and that we can learn a great deal through shared reflection.

My approach to therapy

  • My approach begins with listening carefully and setting aside assumptions. I want to understand what life looks and feels like from where you are standing, including your experience, your perspective, and the thinking that may be shaping what feels real in the moment.
  • My work is informed by an understanding of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought. In everyday language, that means exploring how human experience is created moment to moment, and how easy it is for any of us to get caught in thinking that feels completely true while we’re in it.
  • I don’t see people as problems to be fixed. Over the years, I’ve seen that people can feel lost, stuck, anxious, angry, or hopeless and still have more wisdom and resilience available than they realize.
  • My role isn’t to hand you better thoughts or tell you how to live. It’s to look with you, listen carefully, and make space for what becomes clearer over time.

What you can expect from me

  • You can expect me to be genuinely interested in how you see yourself, your relationships, and your life.
  • We all develop habits of thought and ways of making sense of our experience. Some of those patterns are helpful, while others may be outdated or quietly working against us.
  • In our conversations, these patterns often become easier to notice. Not because we’re forcing insight, but because things tend to come into view when there is space to reflect.
  • There may be quiet at times, and I’m comfortable with that. We don’t always need to fill every moment with more words. Often, something new begins to emerge when we’re not trying so hard to make it happen.
  • After 31 years of experience, I still feel grateful to do this work. I value the chance to see life through another person’s eyes, and I’ve found that curiosity, clarity, and even a little laughter can open the door to meaningful change.
