Great to meet you!

I am a Clinical Psychologist who is also:

  1. Neurodiversity-affirming
  2. LGBTQIA+ affirming
  3. Sex-positive
  4. Open-minded & non-judgemental
  5. Down to earth (not afraid to cuss)
  6. Endlessly curious

My approach to therapy

I was formally trained in acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing, and I use those approaches a lot in my work with clients.

I've also practiced brief psychodynamic therapy at three supervised training programs.

I'm aware that some clients want solutions, while some want validation. Some want to learn how to change themselves, while some want to learn how to advocate for who they are. Some want to talk about their lives from here on out, and some want to explore and understand the past.

I love all of it, and my goal is to find out what will work best for you, and join you on that journey.

What you can expect from me

Real work begins after trust is established.

In my first session I will want to understand what brought you to therapy and I will help you understand a little bit about how I work, but mostly I will begin the process of establishing trust. I will want to get to know you, and give you a chance to see how talking with me feels.
