Great to meet you!

Lori is a highly experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. Lori has often worked with clients who have struggled with anxiety in various forms (social anxiety and panic attacks) and depression. She also has a lot of experience around processing areas of parenting/blended families, grief and loss, processing big lifechanges, and women's health (pregnancy/post-partum/perinatal).

My approach to therapy

Within the realm of OCD, Lori has experience focusing on the systematic desensitization (habituation) area of ERP, working up the hierarchy that she collaboratively creates with clients to approach feared situations. Clients also have the option of choosing Exposure ResponsePrevention (ERP) or Inference Based CBT (I-CBT) as evidenced based approaches when in their sessions. Sessions can also include aspects from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness exercises. The subtypes of OCD that Lori is most familiar with are Contamination, Harm, Checking, and Symmetry/Just Right.

What you can expect from me

"I get clients through healing and into action steps and skills that bring lasting results. Don't face challenges and struggles alone. I will guide you on your journey to wellness, empowerment, and resiliency."
