Great to meet you!

What would it feel like to face life’s challenges with more support, practical tools, and hope?

As a licensed clinical social worker with a masters degree from the University of Georgia I bring a wide range of life and professional experience to my practice. Before becoming a mental health clinician 17 years ago, I worked in management within the telecommunications and banking industries. I also had the privilege of growing a home health business from its start-up phase through its eventual sale to a national health organization. As a 22-year cancer survivor, I understand personally how important mental and physical wellness can be, and that perspective continues to shape the care I provide.

I have had the opportunity to help many people who are managing medical issues while also facing mental health challenges. I am passionate about supporting clients as they work toward a better quality of life, and time and again, I have seen how cognitive behavioral therapy can help people make meaningful progress in a relatively short period of time, improving daily functioning and building a stronger sense of hope.

If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk alongside you in therapy as we work together toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope.

My approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) because it offers a practical, hands-on approach to growth and healing. The homework we use between sessions helps strengthen the skills and concepts we discuss, making it easier to practice new ways of thinking and behaving in everyday life. CBT also aligns well with my Christian worldview, which values being “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2) and encourages us to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

What you can expect from me

When we meet for the first time, we will spend our hour exploring what brings you to therapy, the experiences that have led you here, and the goals that can help move you toward where you would like to be.
