Great to meet you!

I am an experienced, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been a registered nurse since 1996. My years of experience across a variety of nursing specialties have given me a broad clinical perspective and a strong foundation for providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care.

I genuinely enjoy working with people, and I believe that feeling heard and understood is an important part of effective treatment. Clients often appreciate that I listen carefully and take the time to understand their concerns, goals, and individual circumstances.

I provide thorough diagnostic assessment, safe and thoughtful medication management, and therapy. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults ages 14 and up. My goal is to create a comfortable, respectful environment where clients can feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their care.

My approach to therapy

I believe good psychiatric care starts with seeing you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I take time to understand your history, concerns, relationships, and goals. Together, we create a treatment plan that fits your needs. I bring clinical expertise and evidence-based treatment options; you bring the knowledge of yourself. We work as a team toward meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

I know taking the first step toward care isn’t always easy, and I’m genuinely honored you chose me. Before our first session, I review the information you’ve provided so you won’t have to start from scratch.

Our first session focuses on understanding the full picture—what brought you in, what you hope to change, your history, and what has or hasn’t helped in the past. I’ll ask thorough questions to support an accurate diagnosis and determine the treatment approach that is right for you.

If medication is appropriate based on our assessment, we may begin a prescription during the first visit. We’ll also schedule a follow-up visit to monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. You’ll have access to my office phone and email for appropriate questions or concerns between appointments.

My goal is for you to leave your first session with a clear understanding of your needs and a plan for moving forward.
