Lorien Nelson

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in Arizona and California. I have over 20 years of professional experience working in healthcare. Specifically, mental/behavioral health, psychotherapy, care coordination/case management, and professional coaching and mentoring. I have training and experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. As a social worker I have been trained to conduct a comprehensive history and assessment in order to understand both the individual and environmental factors impacting one’s struggles. I have specific experience working with the United States Veteran population, and have completed training in many Evidence Based Practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

I use strengths-based and solution-focused approaches. In my practice I commit to listen, empower, and help identify and leverage identified strengths in setting goals to address distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
