Great to meet you!

My name is Lorna Laidlaw. I have been practicing for many years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in Counseling from Cal State University, Northridge, CA. I have worked with Individuals, Couples, and Families with a variety of different relationship and mental health issues. More recently my specialty has been Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

As a provider I develop a relationship with my client and use the approach that works best for that client. That can range from Behavior therapy to Cognitive therapy or Rational Emotive therapy. I often teach tools for coping, techniques for stress and anxiety, as well as instill hope for depression.

What you can expect from me

I create an environment of genuine caring and respect, allowing a client to express themselves freely. The client may be given homework to practice techniques and tools taught in session.
