Great to meet you!

My name is Lorna Wittenrich, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida with nearly 20 years of experience working with infants, children, adults, and families. I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, and perinatal or postpartum concerns. I also have a passion for working with parents of neurodivergent children and individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by the many demands of life.

I was drawn to becoming a therapist because I have always been fascinated by people's stories and the ways life experiences shape who we are. Over time, that interest grew into a passion for helping others navigate difficult seasons, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide support, insight, and practical strategies that help you move toward greater clarity and confidence. I draw from person-centered, attachment-based, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. I believe healing happens within safe, supportive relationships and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, accepted, and empowered. Clients who tend to connect with me are often experiencing stress, emotional exhaustion, anxiety, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, or the lingering effects of difficult life experiences. Many come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they appreciate my warm, genuine, compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. Also, the balance of emotional support and practical tools I bring to our work together. My goal is not only to help clients feel better, but to help them better understand themselves and develop lasting skills for navigating life's challenges. When therapy is going well, clients often notice greater emotional regulation, improved relationships, increased confidence and self-compassion, healthier boundaries, and a stronger sense of self-trust. They feel more capable of managing stress and making decisions that align with their values and goals. In addition to providing therapy, I am passionate about mentoring and supporting the development of future counselors through supervision and mentorship. I am also passionate about my family and being a mom. People are sometimes surprised to learn that I am in doctoral program working on my PhD.
