Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be yourself without feeling judged or like you have to have everything figured out. I have more than 18 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families through many different seasons of life. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, and I value building a genuine relationship with the people I work with. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you better understand what is happening, recognize your strengths, and find practical ways to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized because I don't believe there is one approach that works for everyone. I draw from evidence-based approaches while considering your experiences, strengths, relationships, and what you hope to change. I tend to be active and engaged in sessions, which means I will listen and provide support, but I will also ask questions, offer feedback, help you recognize patterns, and work with you on practical strategies you can use outside of therapy. I believe some of the most meaningful change happens when you feel supported enough to be honest while also being gently challenged to look at things in a different way.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know each other and beginning to understand what brought you to therapy. We will talk about what has been going on, what you would like to be different, and any important experiences or concerns that may be contributing to how you are feeling now. You do not need to come prepared with the "right" things to say or know exactly what your goals are. We can figure that out together. I also want you to have an opportunity to get a sense of who I am as a therapist and whether you feel comfortable working with me. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying what you would like to work toward and what our next steps might look like.
