Great to meet you!

Building trust is the foundation of my practice. I believe meaningful progress begins when patients feel safe, heard, and understood without judgment. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel confident in the treatment plan we develop together.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorders, and mood disorders, including those complicated by chronic pain. I understand how closely mental and physical health are connected, and I take a comprehensive approach to care that considers both.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Texas, I provide:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Evidence-based medication management
  • Supportive therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed interventions
  • Psychoeducation and coping skills development

My approach is thoughtful and individualized. Every patient has unique needs, and I take time to conduct detailed assessments to ensure we are addressing the root causes of your symptoms, not just managing them.

I combine evidence-based medicine with empathy, compassion, and professionalism. Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis or managing a long-standing condition, we will work collaboratively to help you feel more balanced, empowered, and aligned with your goals.

My priority is helping you improve your quality of life and make sustainable, positive changes. Let’s work together to support your mental wellness and help you move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based. I believe that effective treatment begins with truly understanding each person’s story, symptoms, and goals. No two patients are the same, so I take time to conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored specifically to your needs.

I practice a balanced approach that integrates psychiatric medication management with supportive therapy and skills-based interventions. When appropriate, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies to help patients build insight and resilience alongside medication support.

I focus on treating the whole person, not just symptoms. Mental health is deeply connected to physical health, lifestyle, stress levels, and life experiences. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, substance use, or mood instability, we will work together to identify underlying contributors and create sustainable improvements.

My style is compassionate, direct, and solution-oriented. I value open communication and encourage patients to be active participants in their care. My goal is to help you feel informed, empowered, and supported while making thoughtful, evidence-based treatment decisions.

Above all, I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and respected throughout your mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is focused on understanding you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where I ask about your current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. This helps us identify patterns, contributing factors, and the best path forward.

You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you have space to speak openly. My goal during the first visit is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and comfortable asking questions.

By the end of our session, we will:

  • Clarify your primary concerns and diagnoses (if appropriate)
  • Discuss treatment options, including medication and/or therapeutic approaches
  • Create an initial, personalized treatment plan
  • Establish clear next steps and follow-up

If medication is recommended, we will review risks, benefits, alternatives, and what to expect. If therapy or skill-building strategies are part of your plan, we will discuss how those will be incorporated into your care.

Most importantly, you will leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening, a structured plan moving forward, and reassurance that you are not navigating this alone.
