Lorraine Gibbings

Hello Headway clients! My name is Lorraine Gibbings and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I graduated from Nova South Eastern University in 2016. I have a masters in mental health counseling . I enjoy this line of work as I love to see clients flourish, and find their identity. Or overcome challenges as they arise, I utilize and eclectic way of therapy in which it is catered individually to each client and their needs. I specialize in life transitions, though struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as a space to hold your feelings and thoughts. I hope we meet and are able to walk this journey of healing, both mentally and physically.

I specialize or focus on client’s needs rather than what I believe. Each client has their own needs and expectations within therapy so I cater and devise a plan that works specifically for that client. I tend to use cognitive behavioral therapy Dialectical behavioral therapy within in sessions. I believe in the client as captain and I am there to support and navigate the world and their emotions as they see fit.

Clients can expect to take away from our therapy sessions, feeling hopeful, motivated, heard/seen. I want each of my clients to feel a sense of growth and hopefulness in their journey to their mental and physical. In addition to having the tools and skills to continue on their journey outside of Therapy.
