Great to meet you!

Sometimes the hardest step is reaching out and I’m glad you’re here.

Hi, I’m Lorraine, a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of experience working in psychiatric settings and healthcare. My background in psychiatric nursing has allowed me to work closely with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges while developing a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

I specialize in treating adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, panic attacks, PTSD, OCD, stress-related concerns, insomnia, and life transitions. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when mental health symptoms begin affecting relationships, work, confidence, motivation, or daily functioning, and I believe treatment should focus on helping clients feel emotionally stable, understood, and empowered again.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest without fear of judgment. I value strong therapeutic relationships built on trust, collaboration, consistency, and open communication. I also believe mental health treatment should be practical and individualized — not “one size fits all.”

I take time to understand the full picture of each person’s experiences, stressors, goals, personality, and lifestyle before developing a treatment plan. Whether through medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, or coping strategies, my goal is for clients to feel heard, supported, and more confident in navigating everyday life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based. I believe treatment works best when clients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care decisions.

I take time to understand each client’s symptoms, stressors, lifestyle, and goals before creating a personalized treatment plan. Depending on individual needs, treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, coping skills, and lifestyle recommendations.

I value open communication and believe mental health care should be a partnership built on trust, consistency, and mutual respect. My goal is to help clients feel more emotionally balanced, confident, and supported while improving their overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on creating a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients can openly discuss what they are experiencing and what led them to seek care. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in beginning the treatment process.

During the appointment, we will review current symptoms, stressors, mental health history, lifestyle factors, sleep, relationships, past treatments, and personal goals in order to gain a full understanding of each client’s needs. I also encourage clients to ask questions and share any concerns they may have about treatment.

Together, we will begin developing an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, coping strategies, therapy recommendations, or lifestyle support depending on each person’s goals and comfort level. Clients can expect a collaborative approach focused on helping them feel more emotionally balanced, stable, and supported moving forward.
