I believe that building a genuine, open and honest therapeutic relationship with my client is the best way to connect. My experience in the field of chemical dependency has allowed me the privilege of helping those struggling with addiction and mental health issues as well as their families. I have worked in this field for the past 16 years and it has given me a compassionate perspective for those struggling to get and stay sober. Need help dealing with a teen with addiction issues? My approach to therapy is supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic which allows me to connect on a higher level with my clients. My practice philosophy includes CBT, DBT, supportive therapy, strengths-based, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed, EMDR, and a person-centered approach to help facilitate positive change.
