Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Lory Khoudikian. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 5 years of experience helping individuals, children, and families transform their lives. I earned my Bachelor's degree at University of California, Santa Barbara, with a minor in Applied Psychology. And then went on to receive my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.

I have a passion for helping individuals heal from traumatic pain as well as nurture healing in children/families.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is eclectic. I am empathic, warm, and genuine. Mainly through a collaborative approach, I empower clients and emphasize the importance of having choices as well as responsibility in life. I like to use strengths-based approaches as well, as often times, we lose sight of our strengths in the midst of our miseries. Change comes through acknowledgement of pain, an understanding of our choices, and an innate desire towards reaching our potential.

What you can expect from me

I like to create a safe space for individuals by maintaining a genuine, non-judgmental presence; thus, enabling them to converse freely and explore their lives. I also maintain a collaborative approach, as I am not the expert in the client's life, but they are the expert in their own. I facilitate a positive, warm, and supportive environment for children as well, in order to strengthen their individuality and self-esteem, thus, leading to better relationships with their family members/peers.
