Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist and the founder of The F.L. Wolters Group, a therapy and wellness practice based in Washington DC. I bring more than 15 years of experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and burnout.

Throughout my career I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, including high achieving professionals, caregivers, and people managing significant life and career transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or carrying a great deal of responsibility in their personal and professional lives.

In addition to providing therapy, I developed the FLWG Way, an integrated model of care that blends high quality therapy with community based wellness programming grounded in the eight dimensions of wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and trauma informed. I see therapy as a space where we can slow down, explore patterns, and better understand the experiences that shape how you think, feel, and respond to challenges in your life.

I draw from evidence based practices while also recognizing that wellbeing is influenced by many parts of our lives, including relationships, work, environment, and stress. Together we work to increase insight, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful and sustainable change.

My goal is to provide a space where clients feel both supported and challenged in a thoughtful way so they can move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self understanding.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about what has been going on in your life, the challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope might be different through the process of therapy.

I will also ask some questions about your background, relationships, and sources of stress or support so I can better understand the context of your experiences. You are welcome to share at your own pace, and there is no expectation to have everything figured out.

By the end of the session, we will begin identifying areas we may want to focus on in our work together and discuss next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how therapy with me can support you.
