Great to meet you!

My clinical focus has always been the work that gets overlooked — eating disorders, domestic violence, LGBTQIA+ identity and gender dysphoria, and the kind of complex trauma that doesn't resolve on its own. These aren't add-on specialties. They're what I've built my practice around.

I'm an LCSW affiliated with Behavioral Health Services of the Hudson Valley, a multi-provider practice serving Upstate New York. My clinical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University gave me a rigorous foundation, and years of direct practice have shaped how I actually show up with clients — with directness, care, and a genuine commitment to lasting results.

I work with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, BPD, OCD, grief, and anger. My definition of success isn't symptom management — it's leaving therapy with real skills you can use for the rest of your life.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every person brings a different history, different context, and a different definition of what "better" looks like — so that's where I start.

I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients move through difficult experiences without being retraumatized by them. CBT addresses the thinking patterns underlying anxiety, depression, and OCD. Motivational Interviewing helps when change feels ambivalent — I meet you where you are and work from there. Biofeedback is a tool I find particularly effective for anxiety and PTSD: it trains you to recognize and regulate your body's stress responses in real time, which is a skill that stays with you.

The thread through everything I do is accountability — not judgment. I hold high expectations for my clients because I believe in what's possible for them.

What you can expect from me

Come as you are. The first session isn't an assessment — it's an introduction. I want to understand who you are, what's been weighing on you, and what you actually want from this process.

We'll talk about what's brought you here and start sketching out what meaningful progress would look like for you. I believe in being honest from the beginning: this is real work, and we'll treat it that way. But I also believe in meeting you exactly where you are before we ask anything of you.

Most people leave the first session feeling like the conversation was real — and that's exactly the point.
