Great to meet you!

For many people, the hardest part isn't knowing what needs to change—it's finding space for themselves after years of putting everyone else's needs first.

I'm Lourdes, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional demands that come with balancing family, work, culture, and personal expectations. Many of my clients are used to being the dependable one—the person others rely on—yet privately feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.

Therapy offers an opportunity to step out of survival mode, slow down, and begin paying attention to your own needs without guilt or judgment.

Para mejor asistir a mis clientes, tambien mantengo un certificado en Consejeria bilingue. Yo asisto a clientes experimentando ansiedad, depression, o han sufrido de trauma en sus vidas.

The singer/songwriter Kacey Musgraves sings, "Like a palm tree in the wind, I won't break, I'll just bend"-I hold this belief to be true; I am passionate about helping my clients sway to the storms that life has brought or may bring.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when people feel both understood and empowered. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, solution-focused approaches, and culturally responsive care to help clients better understand the challenges they're facing and develop practical strategies for moving forward.

Much of my work focuses on helping clients untangle the pressures, expectations, and responsibilities that have shaped how they see themselves and interact with others. Together, we explore the patterns that may be contributing to stress, self-doubt, anxiety, or relationship difficulties while building healthier ways of coping and communicating.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up authentically, without feeling like you have to have everything figured out first.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what has been weighing on you and what you hope might be different in your life. There is no pressure to tell your entire story right away. We'll start where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stretched thin by responsibilities, struggling to set boundaries, or trying to balance their own needs with the expectations of family, work, and relationships. Over time, clients often develop a stronger sense of self-trust, healthier boundaries, improved emotional awareness, and greater confidence in making decisions that align with their values.

Therapy is not about becoming someone different. It's about creating enough space to reconnect with who you are beneath the stress, expectations, and responsibilities you've been carrying.
