Great to meet you!

You may be the person everyone depends on, yet still find yourself feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or a major life transition, you don't have to navigate these challenges alone.

I'm Lovena Lamour, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. I have experience providing therapy in community mental health, residential treatment, and outpatient settings, supporting adults facing a variety of emotional, relational, and life stressors.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, stress management, and life transitions.

I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, identify personal strengths, and develop skills to address challenges. Therapy is a collaborative process tailored to each individual's unique needs, goals, and circumstances. Together, we can work toward increasing self-awareness, improving coping strategies, enhancing relationships, and supporting overall emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe meaningful growth can occur when clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment.

My work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and skills drawn from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we may explore how past experiences influence present challenges, identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions, and build practical tools for managing stress, relationships, and everyday life.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, stress management, and life transitions. I strive to provide a supportive therapeutic space where clients can increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and work toward goals that are meaningful to them.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what led you to seek therapy. We'll talk about what has been going on in your life, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.

You don't need to come prepared or know exactly where to start. I will guide the conversation, ask questions, gather relevant background information, and work with you to identify the concerns that feel most important to address. We'll also discuss your goals, strengths, and any factors that may be impacting your well-being.

By the end of the session, you'll have a better understanding of my approach to therapy, and we'll begin developing a plan that aligns with your needs, goals, and preferences. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
