Great to meet you!

Hola, I'm Lovie, like Lovey Dovey. ¿Hablas español, inglés o Spanglish? Entonces estás en el lugar correcto. Whether you speak English, Spanish, or Spanglish, I’m here not only to hear you, but to truly listen to what you’re saying—and sometimes, even to what you’re having a hard time putting into words.

I’m a bilingual English-Spanish Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can truly be yourself. No fancy words required, no need to have everything figured out, and definitely no judgment. You can talk to me the way you naturally talk—with your stories, emotions, humor, pauses, and yes, even a little Spanglish.

For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of providing therapy to people facing different challenges in their lives. I’ve learned that sometimes people don’t need someone to immediately tell them what to do. Sometimes they need someone who will listen and give them enough space to finally hear their own thoughts. That is often where I begin.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, warm, and collaborative. Para mí, therapy should be a space where you can come as you are—not where you have to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of what you’re experiencing.

I like to give my clients room to talk. I may ask questions, offer a different perspective, or gently redirect when it feels helpful, but I’m not here to tell you how to live your life.

Instead, I want to help you explore what you’re feeling, understand what may be getting in your way, and recognize the strengths you already have. Sometimes you may need to vent. Sometimes you may need to cry, laugh, or simply say what you’ve been holding inside.

I believe therapy should be about more than simply getting through the difficult moment. It can also be about discovering what you want, learning more about yourself, and feeling empowered to become the version of yourself you want to be.

Whether you prefer English, español, or Spanglish, you can communicate in the way that feels most natural to you. Just be you. We’ll start there.

What you can expect from me

Your first sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you would like to be different in your life.

You don't need to come prepared with everything figured out. You can simply start where you are. I will listen, ask questions, and help us identify the areas you would like to work on together. As we build trust, we can begin developing goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself. Therapy is your space, and you don't have to have the perfect words, a perfectly organized story, or all the answers. We can take it one conversation at a time.
