Great to meet you!

When working with my clients, it's critical that we develop a trusting relationship through which we can explore their experience. Then by helping the client to increase their own awareness and understanding of the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, the client is given the tools and skills necessary to manage their emotions and behaviors more effectively, resolve personal issues, and increase the quality of their relationships with the people who are most important to them.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in a belief that every person has intrinsic worth. I work to create a space where clients feel safe to show up authentically and explore their inner world with curiosity and compassion.

I use a cognitive-behavioral foundation to help clients identify patterns of thought and behavior that keep them feeling stuck, while also honoring the deeper emotional and relational experiences that shape their lives. My work is trauma-aware and paced to meet each client where they are, balancing insight-building with practical coping tools.

Collaboration is at the heart of my practice. Rather than simply providing answers, I help clients explore options, strengthen decision-making skills, and build confidence in their own capacity for growth. I integrate psychological theory with real-world application, supporting clients as they navigate challenges such as boundaries, self-worth, and emotional regulation in their daily lives.

My goal is to guide clients toward greater clarity, resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make our first session feel calm, supportive, and collaborative. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you in, what’s been on your mind, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background and current challenges, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. This is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you.

Together, we’ll clarify what you want to focus on and begin shaping a plan that makes sense for you. You might leave with a new perspective on your situation, a practical tool to try, or simply a sense of relief that you don’t have to figure things out alone.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the process ahead.
