Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based mental health care. I work with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and psychotic disorders.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and individualized. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment plan. I take time to understand each patient’s unique experiences, challenges, and goals to develop a personalized treatment strategy that promotes lasting emotional wellness and improved quality of life.

My healthcare career spans more than two decades. I began my medical career as a physician in my home country, specializing in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care. Since 2019, I have worked extensively in the mental health field, and in 2025 I became certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health support through both telehealth and in-person visits. As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients and families feel empowered to achieve greater balance, resilience, and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe mental health treatment works best when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care.

I start by taking time to understand the whole person—not just symptoms, but also their medical history, life experiences, strengths, goals, and support system. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, lifestyle strategies, and coordination with therapy or other supports when appropriate.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients can speak openly about difficult experiences. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, clear communication, and shared decision-making.

As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, I also work to ensure that language and cultural differences do not become barriers to care. Ultimately, my focus is not only symptom reduction, but helping patients improve their overall quality of life, resilience, and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can openly discuss their concerns and goals. I take time to get to know each person as an individual, including their symptoms, mental health history, medical background, current challenges, strengths, and what they hope to achieve through treatment.

This initial appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that allows us to gain a clear understanding of what is contributing to their concerns. Together, we will discuss possible diagnoses, treatment options, and develop a personalized care plan that aligns with their needs and preferences.

I encourage questions and believe that patients should fully understand their treatment recommendations, including the benefits and potential risks of any medications. By the end of the session, clients can expect to leave with a better understanding of their mental health needs, a clear treatment plan, and confidence that they have a partner to support them throughout their mental health journey.
