Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing life transitions: grieving a loss, divorce, separation, giving birth to a child or having a child reach adulthood, navigating a new diagnosis of a mental illness or chronic physical illness, coming out as an LGBTQ individual or discovering you or someone you love is neurodivergent. Therapy can be an empowering and comforting support that helps you know and trust yourself and build tools to cope with tough situations.

My approach to therapy

Therapy modalities I use are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also use a trauma-informed and somatic approach, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and coping with sensory triggers for neurodivergent clients. Another lens I employ in working with clients is narrative therapy, as one of the healing aspects of therapy can be rewriting our life story and narrative: being part of this rewriting process with clients can be very rewarding.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I may ask more questions than in a typical session, but I will provide an open, supportive and calm presence where you take the lead in what you would like to focus on in sessions.
