Great to meet you!

Life can throw us off balance. Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling to navigate complex family dynamics, or simply hurting right now. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to walk that path alone.

My name is Lucinda (Cindy) Watkins, and I founded Rise & Thrive Counseling with a clear mission: to have a meaningful impact on lives and families right here in Utah.

I believe profoundly that strong relationships are our greatest asset.

I offer a warm and collaborative space where individuals, children, teens, and families can build stronger relationships, improve self-worth, and improve their mental health through positive, intentional therapy.

My approach is to help you tap into your inner resilience and strengths. Together, we'll identify thought and behavior patterns and build the skills you need to manage your emotional health.

I opened this practice because I genuinely believe our relationships are the most valuable things we have, and helping people strengthen those connections is the heart of my work.

I provide both in-person and convenient telehealth appointments throughout Utah. Let's connect and work together to help you find your footing and grow.

My approach to therapy

My biggest strength as a counselor is offering a non-judgmental, caring, and relatable partnership. My therapeutic approach is genuine and rooted in empathy, helping you gain the personal insight needed to learn new skills, modify behaviors, boost your self-worth, and thrive. I am trained in CBT, crisis management, conflict resolution, ACT and DBT.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to connect. I will listen to your story and understand your goals, and we'll collaborate on a roadmap to help you get to where you want to be.
