Lucinda Guarino

Hello! I'm Lucinda, and my goal is to provide compassion and expertise in counseling. I have a long track record of leadership involvement in business and counseling through innovation, tenacity, and empowerment. My overarching purpose is to see others mentally and emotionally empowered and prepared with tools that promote successful career and personal development.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and a Master's in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling, specializing in Trauma and Crisis. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and an accomplished trainer, speaker, and coach. I've been trained in the specialty areas of sexual assault and domestic violence, and I provide training for survivors while promoting awareness of interpersonal violence both nationally and internationally.

I understand that difficult situations can be managed with care and intentionality. I aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that is both challenging and rewarding. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, implementing various modalities, like CBT, Person-centered, and Narrative, tailored to the needs of my clients.

I specialize in trauma recovery and utilize EMDR, IFS, and other trauma-focused modalities. As my focus is on the safety of the client, I use Person-centered and Supportive therapies, as well as Motivational Interviewing.

I foster an atmosphere of inclusion and compassion as we work together to accomplish client goals. Typically, clients feel accepted and safe as we process various aspects of wellness and mental and emotional health.
