Great to meet you!

I’m Lucy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience in clinical mental health, medical social work, oncology, hospice, and community-based care. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, serious illness, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, and I strive to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful changes that improve your emotional well-being and quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, supportive therapy, and strengths-based interventions. I help clients identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, develop healthier coping strategies, and build on their existing strengths. My goal is to provide both a supportive space to process difficult experiences and practical tools that can create meaningful change in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you by telling your story, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn what you hope to gain from the process. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant experiences, strengths, and goals while beginning to identify areas you would like to work on. I strive to create a warm, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where you can share at your own pace. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and how we can work together moving forward.
