Great to meet you!

Graduated from Hunter College with MS.ED in Rehabilitation Counseling/Mental Health Counseling major. Have worked within a community based program for over 7 years. Have worked with all different types of people from different backgrounds. Well versed in different theories and interventions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My view on mental health and how to best treat people are based in different philosophies and theories about people and the world we live in. I focus on connecting internal family/past experiences along side social/political realities communities/groups face.

What you can expect from our first session

I try to be as genuine and authentic as possible as a therapist. Therapy is not a end all be all type of activity, if you are expecting to speak for once a week for less than an hour and nothing more, you will be disappointed. For therapy to work, one must make efforts to implement, practice, and learn outside of therapy. Together we can figure out realistic and practical ways to incorporate therapeutic interventions into your life.
