Great to meet you!

I have conducted well over 5,000 therapy sessions with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including risk for hospitalization, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, bereavement, panic disorder, and family-related challenges involving children, adolescents, and parents. I also have experience working with oppositional defiant disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I am fully independently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut, fully insured, and maintain up-to-date continuing education (CEUs). My clinical approach is grounded in research-based, evidence-supported interventions backed by science and empirical data, with the goal of promoting meaningful change in the brain through therapeutic strategies specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on meeting clients where they are and being fully committed to the therapeutic process for both short- and long-term work. I am ready and willing to walk alongside clients as we explore the deeper roots of their concerns and develop effective, individualized treatment goals. Using research-backed, evidence-based interventions, I support clients in achieving meaningful, lasting results at a pace that feels appropriate and sustainable for them.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where their concerns are taken seriously and their story is truly heard. I focus on building rapport, understanding what has brought you to therapy, and meeting you where you are emotionally and mentally. Together, we will begin to identify your goals, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and outline an approach grounded in evidence-based practices that feels tailored to your needs, pace, and comfort level. The first session is collaborative, informative, and focused on helping you feel supported and understood from the very start.
