Carlos Lamadrid (Yaqui, Chiricahua Apache, Mexica) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#72557) with over 18 years of clinical experience. Carlos is most proud of being able to reconnect to his Native American and Indigenous ancestry. His work includes trauma focused treatment to assist in healing from inter-generational/historical trauma and helping others on their journey of recovery.

My approach to therapy

My intention is to remain client-centered, respect clients where they are at and where they want to go. My approaches include a strength-based approach while being culturally sensitive along with utilizing my intuition and clinical experience. Modalities include evidence-based practices (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique) plus others.
