Great to meet you!

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted from carrying experiences that continue to affect their daily lives. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative environment where you feel understood without judgment and where we can work together to create lasting change—not just temporary symptom relief.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns using evidence-based approaches, including EMDR therapy. I believe that healing happens when we address the root causes of distress rather than simply managing symptoms. Therapy is tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and pace, and I strive to balance compassion with practical strategies that help you move forward.

Whether you're recovering from childhood trauma, navigating a difficult life transition, coping with anxiety, or working through painful memories, my role is to help you better understand yourself, develop resilience, and build confidence in your ability to heal. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools that you can apply in your everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective therapy is collaborative, individualized, and focused on lasting change. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with each client to understand how past experiences, current stressors, and patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving are connected. Together, we develop a treatment plan that addresses both immediate concerns and the underlying causes of distress.

My primary specialty is trauma treatment, and I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy when clinically appropriate. I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, motivational interviewing, attachment-informed concepts, and psychodynamic principles to help clients gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and process unresolved experiences.

I believe therapy should move beyond simply talking about problems. My goal is to help clients develop meaningful emotional, cognitive, and behavioral change so they can experience greater confidence, healthier relationships, and an improved quality of life. Throughout the process, I strive to create an environment where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to progress at a pace that feels both safe and productive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic foundation. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently experiencing, and what you hope to accomplish through treatment. I'll also ask about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any previous experiences with therapy so I can better understand your unique situation.

My goal during the first session is not to rush into processing difficult memories, but to gain a clear understanding of your needs and develop a treatment plan that feels appropriate for you. We'll talk about the therapeutic approaches that may be most helpful, answer any questions you have, and discuss what therapy will look like moving forward.

If trauma is part of your treatment goals, we'll begin by focusing on stabilization and developing skills to help you feel safe and grounded before processing difficult experiences. I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of the path we'll take together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work at a pace that supports both meaningful progress and your overall well-being.
