Great to meet you!

I've spent more than 30 years working in mental health, supporting individuals and families through a wide range of emotional and personal challenges. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with people from many different cultural backgrounds, and I've learned how important it is to understand each person's experiences, values, and perspective. My work includes helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, and I strive to create an environment where you feel respected, understood, and comfortable speaking openly. I believe that everyone deserves thoughtful, compassionate care that recognizes who they are as an individual.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and humanistic principles to help you better understand yourself and the challenges you're facing. I believe therapy is most effective when we take time to explore not only what you're experiencing, but also how your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences may be influencing your everyday life. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties, develop practical ways to manage symptoms, and work toward changes that feel meaningful to you. I bring both clinical experience and genuine curiosity to our conversations, adapting my approach to your individual needs, cultural background, and personal goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I'll take time to listen to your concerns, learn about your experiences, and understand what you're hoping to achieve. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply looking for greater clarity in your life, we'll start by discussing what matters most to you. My goal is to create a confidential, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your thoughts. From there, we can begin identifying goals and exploring how our work together can help you move forward.
