Great to meet you!

If you've experience setbacks in life or have experienced difficult situations currently or in the past, therapy can help guide you back on track. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker and obtained my master’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work. I have over 17 years of experience working in a university college counseling center, adolescent and adult psychiatric hospital settings, community mental health center, and crisis hotlines.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a strong interest in working with marginalized and oppressed populations and I am passionate about social justice. If you feel that we can be a good fit please feel free to reach out. I also like to incorporate pop culture references during my sessions.

What you can expect from our first session

I provide a warm, empathic, nonjudgmental, emotionally supportive approach during my sessions using a variety of evidence-based approaches. However, I can and will empathically empower you and guide you when needed and or when appropriate for you to reach your therapeutic goals. I connect well with diverse populations of all ages and backgrounds.
