Luis Vallejo

I went to Vanderbilt University on a full tuition Chancellor's scholarship for community leaders. I then attended Baylor College of Medicine in the Houston Medical Center. I'm an M.D. Psychiatrist (with completion of residency and board certification) but have further trained at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute via the two year Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program. I also completed 4 years of didactic training at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles.

I navigate the expanding and evolving field of psychiatry and it's intersection with psychodynamic theory. I have particular interests in Evolutionary Psychiatry that offers a finger print of the larger architecture of nature at hand: intermingling, driving, and designing our conscious experience and unconscious forces. In addition to my private practice, I'm also a consult-liaison Psychiatrist at Cedars Sinai Beverly Hills medical center, Baptist Health Medical center, and Orbit telehealth.

I view the comprehensive design with a classic M.D. approach (Biopsychosocial and Johns Hopkins "The Perspectives"), Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic attunement, and Evolutionary Psychiatry lens. With these, the dynamic structure of the mind becomes more intuitively sensed and systematically engaged. I will use all approaches in a catalytic, multisystemic treatment that will unravel complex biopsychosocial formulations and bring us closer to a genuine sense of cure, aligned with your goals.
