Great to meet you!

Sometimes children and teens don't have the words to explain what they're feeling, but their emotions and behaviors can tell a story. As a bilingual therapist offering care in English and Spanish, I bring over 5 years of experience helping children and adolescents navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues, and life's challenges. I also support clients experiencing PTSD, ADHD, grief and loss, family issues, anger, identity concerns, and cultural or emotional struggles. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when you or your child are struggling and unsure where to turn. My goal is to create a warm, accepting, and culturally sensitive space where every child and teen feels heard, understood, and supported. I believe healing begins with connection, patience, and helping young people discover their strengths while building confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier ways of coping.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each child's unique needs. I believe children and teens thrive when they feel safe, understood, and accepted for who they are. I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and attachment-based approaches to help young clients express emotions, understand their experiences, and develop healthier coping skills. For younger children, play can provide a natural way to communicate feelings that may be difficult to put into words. With adolescents, we may explore thought patterns, emotional regulation, relationships, and practical ways to navigate challenges. My goal is to make therapy feel approachable, encouraging, and meaningful while helping clients and families build stronger connections.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin building a relationship rooted in trust, comfort, and understanding. I recognize that starting therapy can feel intimidating for children, teens, and even parents, so there is no pressure to share everything right away. We will talk about what brings you or your child to therapy, what has been difficult lately, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. When appropriate, I will also work with caregivers to better understand family dynamics, strengths, and the support available at home. My hope is that you or your child leave feeling welcomed, understood, and more comfortable taking the next step toward healing and growth.
