Luke Hummel

Luke Hummel is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing outpatient counseling in VA. Luke has experience working with a diverse clientele of adolescents and adults, addressing various needs including depression, anxiety, trauma, relational problems, and grief.

I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice. ACT is an active form of counseling focused on learning skills to handle difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations more effectively so that they have less impact and influence over you. We will clarify what matters most to you and work to solve problems and live by your values.

Clients will leave each session having learned something useful specific to their lives and with an action plan to make their lives better.
