Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Lucy and I have a Masters of Science in Addictions Counselling and Mental Health. I am a Licensed Professional CounselIor (LPC) and have been practicing for 13 years in Canada and most recently in the United States, specifically in Texas. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating life's emotional and behavioural challenges. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, or behavioural concerns, I provide a safe, supportive, space where healing and growth can begin.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), whilst also integrating creative and developmentally appropriate techniques such as play therapy techniques and art therapy techniques. I believe that children and teens often express themselves best beyond words, and I use these methods to help them process emotions, build coping skills and strengthen self-awareness in a way that feels natural and engaging.

I also work closely with parents offering guidance, tools, and support to help you better understand your child's needs and feel more confident in your role. Together, we can create practical strategies that support positive behaviour, emotional connection, and long-term resilience at home.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you and your child in a comfortable, supportive environment. We'll spend time discussing your concerns, your child's strengths, and what brought you to therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at the beginning at once--this is simply the beginning of building trust. By the end of the session, we'll work together to outline next steps, including a personalised plan tailored to your child's needs. Above all, you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where both you and your child feel heard, supported, and understood.
