Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Luz Varela Morales, a certified Bilingual therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I have 10 years of experience working in trauma-informed settings with children and youth from different backgrounds. I am certified in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Unified Protocol-Stepped Care (UP-SC). My goal is to empower you to face life's uncertainties with courage and to live authentically, no matter what you're going through.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which teaches that while pain is inevitable, we can reduce suffering by embracing our emotions and living according to our values. I have a deep passion for grief work, helping clients process loss and find meaning in their pain. I use trauma informed approaches rooted in cultural humility to treat anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, depression and stress related to social and systemic barriers.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where they feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their emotions at their own pace. My sessions are collaborative and compassionate, grounded in the belief that healing comes from living in alignment with one’s values, even in the face of pain. Together, we work toward increasing emotional flexibility, building self-compassion, and identifying small, meaningful steps toward change. Whether we’re processing grief, navigating anxiety, or confronting systemic stressors, clients leave sessions with greater clarity, actionable tools, and a deeper connection to their inner strength and identity.
