Great to meet you!

Some of my clients have shared that this is their first attempt at therapy or the previous sessions didn't quite workout. I specialize in working with men, youth and young adults, couples, and families who are navigating career pressures, life transitions, communication difficulties, and personal growth. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can work through life’s challenges, gain practical tools to manage stress, and build healthier relationships. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and solution-focused, helping you recognize your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to get started. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling to communicate, or simply ready to become a healthier version of yourself, therapy can help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward your goals. Using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, manage stress, strengthen communication, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Throughout our work together, I consistently integrate these approaches by helping you explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while strengthening your motivation and confidence to make positive changes. I explain therapeutic techniques in practical, easy-to-understand ways and collaborate with you to apply them to everyday challenges, including work-related stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. My goal is to help you build self-awareness, develop effective coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, begin understanding what brings you to therapy, and establish a foundation for our work together. You can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can share your concerns, discuss what has been weighing on you, and identify what you hope to accomplish. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you feel comfortable sharing.

During this session, I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and current challenges, whether they involve work-related stress, relationships, family dynamics, or a major life transition. We’ll begin identifying your treatment goals, and discuss how our sessions will be structured, including the therapeutic approaches including CBT or trauma-informed therapy and practical strategies we may use to support your progress. This initial conversation helps establish a consistent format for future sessions, with a focus on understanding your concerns, developing actionable goals, building effective coping skills, and reviewing progress over time. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process and a sense of direction for the work ahead.
