Great to meet you!

Feeling stuck, anxious, or like something’s off? You don’t have to figure it all out alone — I’m here to help.

Hi there — I’m Lydia Antonatos, a licensed psychotherapist based in Florida with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and over a decade of cumulative clinical experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, panic, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and low self-esteem.

I’m a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), trained in how anxiety affects both the brain and body. I use evidence-based, practical strategies — like CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation — to help you feel more grounded and in control.

My career path hasn’t been linear, and I embrace that. Life led me to take breaks — for family, relocation, and caregiving — but those experiences have only made me a more empathetic and real-world therapist. I know what it’s like to pivot, restart, and show up through uncertainty. That lived experience deeply informs how I show up for my clients.

My professional background includes crisis intervention, community mental health, nonprofit work, and virtual therapy. I’m bilingual (English and Spanish) and especially committed to providing culturally sensitive care to the Hispanic/Latinx community.

Therapy with me feels more like a real conversation than a clinical appointment — warm, honest, and collaborative. You don’t have to come in with it all figured out. We’ll untangle what’s weighing on you and start creating real, lasting change — at your pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and uniquely tailored — because healing works best when you feel truly seen, supported... and even laugh a little along the way.

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation — not a performance. I create a down-to-earth, welcoming space where you can show up as yourself (messy thoughts and all). We’ll work together as a team, drawing on your strengths, inner wisdom, and yes, a bit of laughter and lightness-even when life isn’t funny.

My style is warm, validating, and solution-focused. I listen deeply, challenge gently, and adapt each session to what’s actually going on in your life. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic, and strengths-based approaches to create sessions that are both effective and empowering — never cookie-cutter, always purposeful and result-driven.

As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), I specialize in understanding how anxiety affects you mentally and physically. Whether it’s racing thoughts, muscle tension, or the endless "what ifs," we’ll unpack it together and build practical tools to help you feel more in control in your day-to-day life..

Cultural sensitivity is at the core of my work. As a bilingual therapist with a multicultural background, I bring awareness and respect to the diverse experiences, values, traditions, and identities that shape who you are.

Therapy with me is less about perfection and more about finding your rhythm — one real, grounded step at a time.

What you can expect from me

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with me?

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin — you just need to show up as you are. Therapy with me starts with a real conversation: a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk about what’s weighing on you, what you want to change, and what feeling better might look like.

I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling stuck, overthinking everything, or simply not like yourself lately, I’m here to help you unpack it — without pressure or pretense.

Our sessions are collaborative and paced around your needs. I’ll offer gentle guidance, honest insight, and practical tools you can actually use in your everyday life. From new coping strategies to perspective shifts, you’ll leave each session with something meaningful to hold onto.

Over time, you’ll build emotional resilience, break old patterns, and reconnect with the strongest, most grounded version of yourself — because therapy isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more fully you.
