Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of empowerED Healing, a practice focused on helping people heal their relationship with food, their bodies, themselves, and others. I specialize in eating disorders, OCD, and trauma, particularly when these concerns overlap.

My approach is grounded in the belief that you are more than a diagnosis. I want therapy to be a space where you can feel understood without judgment while also being challenged when old patterns are keeping you stuck.

I believe humor, authenticity, and a strong therapeutic relationship can be just as important as any clinical technique.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I don’t believe therapy should be about simply getting rid of uncomfortable thoughts or feelings.

Instead, we’ll work together to understand what your symptoms are trying to accomplish, identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and build skills that help you move toward the life you actually want.

When working with eating disorders and OCD, I may challenge avoidance, reassurance-seeking, compulsions, restriction, or other behaviors that provide short-term relief but ultimately make anxiety and fear stronger.

Most importantly, I want you to feel like we are on the same team.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, how it is affecting your life, what you’ve tried in the past, and what you hope will be different through therapy.

I’ll also explain how I typically approach treatment and answer any questions you have about the process.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what our work together could look like.
