Great to meet you!

Healing is a journey. Maybe you have already started and maybe reaching out today is your first step. What have you tried so far? My name is Lynden Grothe. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Anchorage, Alaska. I see clients in person and via telehealth in my office, Moonstone Counseling LLC, located in historic downtown Anchorage by the Coastal Trails. I am trauma-informed and inclusive. I can accommodate clients ages 12 and up.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a relational, holistic, bottom-up, trauma-informed approach, tailoring sessions to your individual needs and goals. I am also experienced working with survivors of narcissistic abuse and adult children of high conflict parents. I have training in EMDR, Havening, Brain-Spotting, Play Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, BIFF, Filial Therapy and Gottman Marriage and Couple’s Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and eclectic. While I offer a variety of modalities to tailor treatment to your specific situation, I believe the first step is learning self-soothing techniques so we can approach your issues in a safe grounded way. While therapy isn't always comfortable or easy, I want clients to leave the first session with a new skills and confidence in the process.
