Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized mental health care in a supportive and judgment-free environment. I believe that seeking help takes courage, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable and collaborative as possible.

I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Vermont and completed my Post-Graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate at Wilkes University. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and serve as an Associate Director of Graduate Nursing Programs, where I help prepare the next generation of nurses and nurse practitioners.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, trauma-related concerns, and other psychiatric conditions. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment tailored to each individual's needs and goals.

I believe that mental health care works best when it is built on trust, respect, and open communication. I take the time to listen, understand your unique experiences, and partner with you to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. Whether you are seeking support for a new concern or have been navigating mental health challenges for years, I am committed to helping you feel heard, supported, and empowered on your journey toward wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I take the time to truly listen and understand what you are experiencing before developing a treatment plan. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns, asking questions, and actively participating in your care.

I view mental health treatment as a partnership. Together, we will explore your symptoms, personal strengths, life circumstances, and goals to develop a plan that supports your overall well-being. I believe in using evidence-based treatments while recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health care. Whether treatment involves medication management, lifestyle modifications, therapy, or a combination of strategies, I strive to ensure that you feel informed and empowered throughout the process.

I am particularly passionate about helping individuals navigate challenging life circumstances, improve daily functioning, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their quality of life.

Above all, I want my clients to feel heard, respected, and supported. Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to provide compassionate guidance and practical solutions that help you move toward greater stability, resilience, and wellness.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to treatment. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, personal and medical history, previous treatment experiences, and any goals you have for your mental health and overall well-being. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am the right fit for your care.

I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace. I understand that seeking mental health care can feel intimidating, especially for a first appointment, and I work to ensure that you feel heard, respected, and understood throughout the process.

By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps. Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs, preferences, and goals. My approach is collaborative, and I believe that the best outcomes occur when clients are active partners in their care.

Whether you are seeking support for a new concern or have been managing mental health challenges for years, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and hopeful about your path forward.
