Lynette Ballard

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 30 years of experience. I attended the University of Utah and received a BS in Sociology, I received my Masters of Social Work at the University of Southern California (USC). I worked in healthcare for many years treating people with cancer, spinal cord injuries, TBI, and strokes. Additionally, I have worked in the ER in handling crises. I became very interested in working with bereavement and was certified as a bereavement counselor and have run grief support groups. I was a member of the Oncology Social Workers Association and was chair of a local chapter for many years. I was a member of the Association of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals (ASCIP) and sat on their Board for 2 years. I have a great interest in treating trauma from many sources such as first responders, military, police and firefighters and have been trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I want to help people live their authentic lives and heal from their past. I'm a good listener and like to connect on a deeper level. I have been trained to treat trauma, abuse, grief, ADHD, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, LGBTQ+ issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders and addiction. I utilize several modalities including EMDR/ART; CBT, IFS, ACT and Gottman strategies.

A first session is a chance for clients to tell me their story. It is time of information sharing and understanding the main concerns. We then will develop a treatment plan that makes sense to everyone and is achievable and affords a way to mark progress,
