Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor who is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and hope. In addition to my work in private practice, I serve as teaching faculty in a graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, where I help prepare future counselors and contribute to the profession through research and academic publications. My scholarship focuses on motivational interviewing and collaborative, client-centered care, with an emphasis on helping healthcare professionals partner with individuals to support lasting, whole-person change. I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Outside of counseling, I'm also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and value the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and guided by your unique goals and strengths. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices while emphasizing authenticity, compassion, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I often draw from Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients develop insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel empowered to move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a relationship based on trust and collaboration. I'll spend time learning about your unique story, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our work together. Rather than telling you what your goals should be, I believe therapy works best when we partner to identify what matters most to you. Together, we'll create a plan that reflects your values, strengths, and hopes for change.
