I am Lynette Horton. I am a licensed professional counselor in TN. I am a former teacher turned therapist and enjoy working with all ages. I enjoy seeing the progress clients make during our journey together. While I have experience with children and adolescents I also work with adults who have encountered trauma, experiencing depression or anxiety.

I believe in meeting the client where they are in their life. I offer a safe calm environment so that my clients can create a life worth living for themselves. DBT is an approach in which I have been utilizing. However, I am EMDR trained and play therapy informed.

Getting to know my clients and building rapport is the first step in my sessions. I want clients to know they have met someone who they can trust and feel safe sharing their innermost thoughts.

Clients will have coping skills they can use in their every day life once they leave each session.
