Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy from Drexel University. I enjoy helping children, teens, and adults cope with overwhelming emotions, life stresses and transitions, anxiety, depression, disordered eating/body image issues, questions of identity, relationship/family issues, and trauma. My professional background as a dance teacher, small business owner, talk therapist, and dance/movement therapist, and my personal background as a parent and partner, have shaped my therapeutic approach.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered, strengths-based, and mindful approach to therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative journey based on a safe and trusting relationship. Whether you are looking for short-term solutions and coping skills or long-term support, I will listen and engage with empathy, respect, and humility to help you progress toward your goals. I am also skilled and ready to bring creativity, mindfulness, movement, and play into the process if that is helpful or desired.

What you can expect from me

The first session involves getting to know each other, understanding the risks and benefits of therapy, gathering information from your past and what brings you to therapy, and setting goals. I aim to create a welcoming environment, answer all of your questions (while asking many of my own), and give you a sense of what to expect during future sessions.
