Great to meet you!

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed by chronic stress, or carrying the heavy weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD, I am here to help you rebuild. My name is Lynn Hakin, and I am an LPC and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who partners with young to older adults to break the cycles of burnout and emotional exhaustion. My clinical foundation is built on a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2019) and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University (2023), where I focused intensely on supporting military personnel, veterans, and their loved ones. I started working in Mental Health in 2019 in an inpatient setting after receiving my Bachelor's degree. Then I transitioned to inpatient substance abuse treatment until 2023 when I graduated from my Master's Program. After graduation, I have worked for a community mental health program in the correctional setting as Master's level mental health clinician.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, adaptable, and solution-focused. By blending evidence-based tools like CBT with grounding mindfulness practices, I tailor our sessions to exactly what you need in the moment. Together, we will process past challenges, establish healthy boundaries, and equip you with actionable tools to regain control of your well-being and live a balanced, fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a relaxed chance to get to know each other and understand what's weighing on you. From there, we'll set a few clear, realistic goals and map out practical steps to tackle the stressors you're facing, at a pace that feels manageable. You can expect to leave feeling heard, with a concrete sense of where we're headed together.
