Great to meet you!

The stories we carry about our relationships deeply influence how we connect. At Pinehurst Relationships, I serve individuals, couples, and families in North Seattle and across Washington State. I believe your struggle is part of your story—but it isn’t the whole story. You don’t have to stay confined to a chapter defined by conflict, distance, or misunderstanding.

You can read more about my practice style and background at: www.pinehurstseattlelmft.com

My online practice brings a narrative, relational, and systemic approach, helping you shift away from old, stuck patterns, rebuild connection, and find steady emotional ground. Whether you are navigating these heavy chapters as a couple, looking to strengthen a partnership, or seeking individual therapy for relationship issues, let's re-author your story together. If you are seeking a narrative framework to help rewrite family conflict or looking for support and family therapy with a child age 7+, we will map out a path forward.

Education and experience: I hold a BA from the University of Washington (1985) and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch Seattle (2022). My clinical roots include a dedicated internship in community mental health in Edmonds and an associate residency at a Seattle group practice.

Specialized Training:

  • Narrative Therapy Foundations (One & Two): Couples Therapy with High Conflict Relationships Certificate (Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy)
  • Professional Memberships: Active member of both the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT).

Outside the office, I recharge by gardening, walking with my partner, and heading out on PNW trail adventures with our hiking cat, Jasper.

My approach to therapy

As a systemic Couples & Family Therapist, I use Family Systems and Narrative therapy to understand the patterns shaping your relationships—not blame one “broken” person. Together, we identify communication loops, family patterns, and cultural pressures, including climate anxiety, so you can respond differently and create a healthier daily dynamic.

What you can expect from me

Healing happens when we begin to rewrite the stories we carry together. At Pinehurst Relationships, I offer a warm, collaborative online space where every voice is valued. Together, we look at the patterns and pressures shaping your experience and work toward more connection, clarity, and care. Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.
