Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Lynne. I have been fortunate to have had passions that have guided my life and I bring a wide variety of life experiences to my practice. These elements help me support clients on their own life journeys, as they clarify where they are stuck and find healthier ways to live and thrive in the life they envision.

My love for animals, especially horses, has been a significant source of inspiration, self-knowledge, strength, and learning about real life. It felt natural to blend my passions and experiences with my desire to help others. Through the graciousness of these beautiful animals, we can gain much self-awareness about being in relationships and connecting with others.

In 2009, I became certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) with the Equine Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA). During my Master's program, I interned at Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado (AATPC), where I expanded the concepts I began in EAP to working with other animals, including dogs, goats, cats, rabbits, rats, and chickens. It is my sincere hope that in my work with clients, I can be a grounding part of your personal growth journey.

For self-care, I continue to play and teach violin, another of my lifelong passions. I also enjoy long walks with my therapy dog, riding or just being with my horses, and spending time with friends and my grown children.

If you're seeking support in areas such as addiction, adolescent and teen mental health, anxiety, depression, grief, intimate relationships, life transitions, PTSD, spirituality, stress, trauma, or traumatic brain injury, I am here to help. Let's work together to navigate your path towards a healthier, more fulfilling life

My approach to therapy

My base therapeutic approach is Humanistic. I utilize a variety of resources depending on what resonates with the person. I believe in collaborating with people to find what works best for them. I am guided by my core values not just in my work, but in everything that I do, including being with and helping people and animals.

What you can expect from me

The story that is paramount in your life is the beginning of where we start. Listening and sharing is how I gain and unravel the sense of where the best place to start our work happens. In the first session, I will go over forms and required information you will need to move forward in working together. I will answer questions you may have about what therapy is clearly so that you understand and I will check in regularly to be sure we are both in sync on this.
