Great to meet you!

As a seasoned practitioner (since 2006) with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I have dedicated my career to mastering a diverse range of therapeutic modalities to better serve my clients.

My clinical practice is grounded in extensive training across several specialized frameworks, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Hypnotherapy into my work, allowing for a highly tailored and comprehensive approach to psychological wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines compassion and authenticity, empowering individuals to grow and heal. Together, we'll explore the root causes of your struggles, identify strengths, and develop tailored strategies. Whether managing stress or seeking self-awareness, I believe change is always possible with the right support.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect during our first counseling session:

Introductions and Logistics

We will begin by building rapport and reviewing the necessary paperwork for mental health treatment. This includes informed consent, practice policies, cancellation and communication procedures, fee agreements, billing policies, and any required releases of information.

Building Trust

Once we navigate the logistics, I want to hear what brings you to therapy. This is an opportunity for me to learn about you and answer any questions you have regarding my approach. I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment where I can meet you where you are.

Gathering Background

To better understand you as a whole person, we will discuss your background, including childhood experiences, family relationships, and family mental health history. We may also cover any history of trauma, addiction, abuse, or previous therapy and medication treatments.

Establishing a Treatment Plan

Following our first or second session, we will begin developing a treatment plan. Together, we will define the goals you wish to achieve and identify measurable objectives to make those goals attainable.

Scheduling

At the end of our meeting, we will discuss our future schedule, including the frequency and length of our sessions.
