Great to meet you!

I have been a therapist for over 20 years and have expertise in depression and anxiety, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, women's issues, and problematic anger. Although I work with people of all faiths and backgrounds, I also enjoy providing faith-based counseling to Christian clients to support them spiritually in treatment. I earned my BA in psychology from Butler University and my MA in Clinical Psychology from Trinity International University. I am curious and teachable, willing to learn from observation and from others. I am a wife, daughter, sister, and mom of three ranging from elementary school to adulthood, with disabilities and chronic illness. I love spending time with my family, good coffee, and taking a walk with a good friend.

My approach to therapy

I want you to feel truly known and understood, creating an environment of trust and safety. From there, we collaboratively develop ways to address your concerns through insight, skill building, and useful tools. I welcome the integration of your spiritual beliefs and practices into therapy.

What you can expect from me

You can schedule a free 15 minute consultation call on the website. Then I will schedule your first session with a time that works for you. The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We can talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’d like support with, and any questions or concerns you have. I may ask about your background, relationships, stressors, and goals so I can better understand the bigger picture. There is no pressure to share everything right away — we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we can start identifying what you need and discuss how therapy can support you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and how I work. Therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and understood, so it’s important that the relationship feels like a good fit.
